DR. EUNWHA KANG - PIANO
Dr. Eunwha Kang is a composer, music educator, and collaborative pianist whose work bridges traditional Korean colors and Western musical forms, often enhanced by music technology. Her music explores themes such as the beauty of nature, the voices of women, and the world beyond death, seeking emotional resonance and narrative depth.
She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition at Texas Tech University, where she also taught music theory, aural skills, and composition as an Instructor of Record and Graduate Part-time Instructor. She also holds a Master of Music in Composition from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea.
As a music educator and collaborative pianist, Dr. Kang serves as an Adjunct Professor of Music at Midland College, mentoring students and fostering creativity, collaboration, and strong musicianship. She also accompanies the Midland College Choir and the West Texas Symphony Chorale, supporting rehearsals, performances, and community events. Previously, she played as a collaborative pianist at Texas Tech University, Missouri State University, and with regional high school and community ensembles, and she remains active in church music ministry, performing regularly for services and special programs. Recognized for her extraordinary ability in the arts, she makes her home in the United States, continuing her work as a composer, educator, and pianist across concert halls, classrooms, and sacred spaces.
